Tidal Wave Cherry – яркого вишневого цвета. Цветы крупные. Ампельная, очень длинные плети. Неубиваемая. Не боится ни дождя, ни ветра.

Это моя любимая серия. Неудержимый рост, очень плотное цветение. Осваивает без преувеличений любое количество грунта. Только для больших объемов от 30 литров на 1 растение. В мелкой таре чахнет.

Но в большой бадье превосходит самые смелые ожидания, покрывая сплошным ковром и садовые тачки и огромные чаны для раствора и даже сколоченный из паллет “ящик для петуний” 🙂 Превосходно растет в бочках по 200 литров. полностью ее закрывая цветами.

Ампельная, наращивает плети до 1.5 метров.

Сортосерия Тайдал Вейв одна из самых удачных для северо-запада. Не боится дождя, цветы не виснут тряпочками, очень быстро восстанавливаются. Не боится ветра, побеги достаточно прочные. Исключительная сила роста.

Цветение очень плотное при должных подкормках.

Не нужно прищипывать, сначала растет одним длинным побегом, а потом из каждой пазухи начинают расти плети в стороны. Прищипка тормозит рост зеленой массы.

Landscape Attributes

Tidal Wave Cherry Petunia is a dense herbaceous annual with a trailing habit of growth, eventually spilling over the edges of hanging baskets and containers. Its medium texture blends into the garden, but can always be balanced by a couple of finer or coarser plants for an effective composition.

This plant will require occasional maintenance and upkeep. Trim off the flower heads after they fade and die to encourage more blooms late into the season. It is a good choice for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds to your yard, but is not particularly attractive to deer who tend to leave it alone in favor of tastier treats. It has no significant negative characteristics.

Planting and Growing

Tidal Wave Cherry Petunia will grow to be about 18 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 4 feet. When grown in masses or used as a bedding plant, individual plants should be spaced approximately 3 feet apart. Its foliage tends to remain dense right to the ground, not requiring facer plants in front. This fast-growing annual will normally live for one full growing season, needing replacement the following year.

This plant should only be grown in full sunlight. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments. This particular variety is an interspecific hybrid. It can be propagated by cuttings; however, as a cultivated variety, be aware that it may be subject to certain restrictions or prohibitions on propagation.

Tidal Wave Cherry Petunia is a fine choice for the garden, but it is also a good selection for planting in outdoor containers and hanging baskets. Because of its trailing habit of growth, it is ideally suited for use as a ‘spiller’ in the ‘spiller-thriller-filler’ container combination; plant it near the edges where it can spill gracefully over the pot. Note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden.

Тайдал Вейв — гигант среди всех ампельных петуний. ⠀

Этой петунии просто нет равных по объему, она может вырастать, если обеспечить ее достаточным объемом грунта до полутора метров в ширину и до полуметра в высоту.

Ред велюр (Tidal wave Cherry) имеет очень красивый, бархатный цвет. Хорошо сочетается в совместной посадке с Тайдал Вейв Сильвер.

Обладает необычной скоростью роста и мощью, формируя многие сотни цветков (размером около 5см). ⠀Для того, чтобы эта петуния смогла проявить себя во всей красе ей требуется очень хорошее питание, поэтому наилучший результат растение покажет если посадить его в горшок как минимум литров на 30, желательно 50 литров, а можно и больше – до 100 литров.

Можно высаживать данный сорт на клумбу и она образует вокруг себя ковер диаметром 1-1,5 метров, можно сделать из тайдалов невероятные бордюры, рассадив эти петунии на слегка приподнятые грядки, тоже получается очень эффектно.

⠀Еще об этой петунии можно сказать, что она очень устойчива к разным погодным условиям, к ветру, солнцу и дождю.
